The key duties of the position include The Role The DOTAM Training Area Infrastructure Officer is responsible for: Supporting capability by shaping the delivery outcomes of sustainment, maintenance and development projects across the Defence Training Areas throughout Australia operated and managed by DOTAM. Attending stakeholder engagement meetings at the scope, design and delivery phases of a project to ensure Defence receives value for money and capability aligned to Defence policy. About our Team The Directorate of Operations and Training Area Management (DOTAM) has three main functions. These are the operation and management of 41 Military Training Areas across Australia, the coordination of SEG support to major military exercises, and the facilitation of Defence Domestic Operations in Australia. The National Directorate works closely with the Services, providing quality military exercise areas and facilities to ensure Defence and partnered countries can operate safely on modern and sustainable training areas. The development of these areas ultimately ensures forces can enhance Defence capability and readiness, helping protect our nation. The Directorate is an integrated environment consisting of approximately 280 Defence personnel located nationally across four regions.
