Responsibilities Fill high-pressure gas cylinders by operating and monitoring filling equipment according to safety guidelines and standards. Inspect cylinders for defects, correct labelling, and appropriate levels of gas. Ensure cylinders are properly weighed and labelled before dispatch. Maintain accurate records of fill logs, inventory, and comply with all documentation processes. Conduct visual and functional safety checks on equipment and report any malfunctions. Assist in maintaining a clean and organised filling area by following workplace safety policies and procedures. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and address any operational challenges. Participate in safety training sessions, drills, and contribute to a culture of continuous safety improvement. Qualifications Previous experience in gas cylinder filling, industrial operations, or a related field is preferred but not required. Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks and lift heavy objects. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures meticulously. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment. Commitment to learning and adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Ability to stand for long periods and work in varying environmental conditions. Day-to-Day Begin each day by participating in a safety meeting to review essential safety procedures and daily objectives. Conduct pre-operation checks on filling equipment and inspect cylinders for any visible damage or discrepancies. Engage in the filling process by attaching cylinders to filling stations, regulating pressure gauges, and monitoring levels. Collaborate with team members to manage inventory levels and pre-emptively address any inventory shortages or overstock issues. Communicate with drivers or logistics personnel to coordinate cylinder deliveries and address any customer-specific requirements. Contribute to team discussions and feedback sessions to continuously improve operational procedures and safety measures. End the day by completing a thorough check of all equipment used, ensuring the filling area is organised, and all records are up to date.
