McArthur is seeking an experienced candidate to support our client with the research and report development that is key to the Community Safety Plan. Our ideal candidate is experienced in investigating a range of initiatives linked to community safety and can document these in an appropriate format for council consideration. You will liaise with a range of stakeholders including police, traders' associations and the community safety committee. This may also involve working collaboratively to obtain relevant survey data. This is a part-time opportunity offering up to 3 days per week, over the next three months. The opportunity is immediately available, and applicants will be assessed on submission, so please do not hesitate to apply! Key responsibilities: Conduct research on a range of initiatives and safety concerns within the municipality. Document and report on safety initiatives and concerns, including recommendations and impacts. Draft responses to concerns directly raised by the community. Desirable criteria: Demonstrated research skills Excellent report writing skills Strong engagement skills, both written and verbal Prior experience developing a Community Safety Plan or similar Prior experience in Local Government To be considered for this opportunity you must have full working rights, and the ability to provide a clear Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.
