The Role In this role, you will work the wider People & Culture team, managers and employees to provide practical people advice, support performance management and coach leaders in handling workplace challenges. You will take ownership of complex ER matters, including investigations, grievances, and conciliations, ensuring compliance and best practice. This is a key role bridging day-to-day advisory and ER responsibilities, while covering people insights and contributing to long-term workforce planning. Description Role Objective Provide practical, people-focused advice to managers on performance, conduct, and development Provide advice within the People & Culture sphere to meet operational business needs Offer peer coaching and support to HR Advisors and HR Administration on People & Culture related matters including case handling Lead and manage complex ER matters and related investigations, disciplinary processes and terminations Lead and manage conciliations and conferences (e.g. unfair dismissals, general protections, bullying, and harassment orders) Work with People & Culture and operational leaders to surface trends and shape long-term solutions Represent the business in interactions with unions, employment tribunals and other external bodies Lead and manage People & Culture projects such as but not limited to policy reviews and leadership ER training Lead rollout of and ensuring ongoing operational adherence to the ER framework Assist in developing and supporting a structured performance management system to drive high-performance teams About You Bachelor’s degree in HR, Employment Relations, Law, or related field Minimum 6 years’ experience in HR/ER roles in a large, fast-paced complex environment Strong legal and commercial acumen in ER/IR Demonstrated success in handling conciliations, workplace investigations, grievances, and terminations Strong advisory skills, with the ability to provide practical, people-focused guidance Proven ability to build effective relationships with multiple stakeholders Strong communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal High resilience and discretion in managing sensitive matters Ability to balance empathy with accountability in decision-making Skills And Experiences Glad is a proud Equal Opportunity Employer and Champion of genuine action towards Reconciliation.
