Your opportunity: The Finance Group contributes to Urban Utilities’ purpose and vision through championing, safeguarding, and driving customer, community and shareholder value. We currently have an opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join the Corporate and Finance Group contributing to the delivery of timely and accurate processing of financial transactions. This includes the preparation and posting of journals to the finance system plus the preparation and review of account reconciliations. You will provide critical support to Accounting and Assurance team. This includes the design, testing and documentation of financial controls, ensuring that financial transactions and reports are recorded in accordance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. You will also support Urban Utilities’ external financial reporting requirements as well as the delivery of the annual external audit plan. About you: At UU, we celebrate diversity. You’ll be providing specialist, high level financial accounting while engaging across all areas of Urban Utilities. It would be great if you have: Hold Degree qualifications in Accounting or Business CPA/CA certification Experience in d elivering accurate and timely financial accounting and reconciliation functions. Ability to lead the development, testing, and maintenance of accounting procedures and guidelines to support the organisation in the implementation of, and compliance with, internal policies and/or external regulations Support the implementation of financial systems process changes and enhancements; ensure all changes are effectively implemented. Experience producing complex financial information, ensuring their accuracy Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions Why Urban Utilities?
