Client Manager – Insurance Broking Location: Sydney, NSW Reporting to: National Manager Portfolio Range: $300K – $1M (Income) My client is hiring an experienced Client Manager to join their dynamic insurance broking team. This role is ideal for a senior professional who thrives on managing complex client portfolios, delivering tailored insurance solutions, and mentoring junior colleagues. You’ll play a key role in driving client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth, while ensuring compliance and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Client Management Manage a portfolio valued between $300K and $1M. Deliver personalised insurance advice and maintain strong client relationships. Present tailored recommendations and implement client instructions. Ensure timely and favourable claims resolution in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Business Development & Retention Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cross-marketing and referrals. Support tender submissions and contribute to sales planning and execution. Maintain high service standards to support client retention. Administration Process client policies for new business and renewals, in collaboration with other associates. Prepare and review quote slips, reports, recommendations, and quotations. Manage proposal forms and ensure timely collection of completed documents from clients. Handle premium debt collection and ensure timely issuance of renewal documents and invoices. Process and review invoices, endorsements, and certificates of currency. Obtain claims and insurance-related information from the market. Risk & Compliance Prepare client documentation in line with compliance and branding standards. Maintain adherence to internal standards and contribute to process improvements. Financial & Strategic Contribution Support budgeting and business planning activities. Assist in managing aged debtors and achieving financial targets. Innovation & Leadership Mentor and coach junior team members. Promote a positive, inclusive, and ethical workplace culture. Actively contribute to organisational improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred). Tier 1 Insurance Broking Certificate or Level 5 Certificate in Financial Services. Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance) or working towards completion. Minimum 7 years’ experience in insurance broking and financial services. Key Competencies Strong client focus and relationship management skills. Solid understanding of insurance classes, claims processes, and contract vetting. Professional Development Maintain RG146 compliance and a minimum of 25 CPD points annually (Australia). Stay current with legal, ethical, and industry standards. Develop and maintain deep knowledge of client industries and insurance products. Participate in annual performance development planning with leadership.
