Find out more about our shared purpose , and what drives every one of us. About the role As a Data Modeller, you’ll play a key role in shaping how the TAC uses data to drive outcomes. Working within a project team, you’ll be responsible for designing and implementing robust data models that support the TAC’s evolving analytics capabilities. Using the Kimball methodology, you’ll help build scalable, efficient data structures that power insights across the organisation. From unit testing and code deployment to resolving modelling issues and refining models based on business needs, your work will be crucial in our data transformation journey. About the Team Join the Performance, Insights & Analytics branch in our Geelong office, where you will collaborate with a dedicated team committed to shaping the strategic direction of the TAC. Our division is responsible for Actuarial, Performance Analytics, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Risk Management, and Strategy functions. We value innovation, continuous improvement, and effective stakeholder engagement to deliver outcomes that align with TAC’s strategic goals. What we’re looking for Data Modelling Expertise You bring 3-5 years’ experience in designing and implementing data models in cloud-based or big data environments, with strong skills in Kimball modelling, and advanced SQL. Technical and Tool Proficiency You’re comfortable working with tools like Azure Synapse Analytics, ADF, DevOps, and Jira, and ideally have experience with Databricks. You thrive in agile environments and can quickly translate business needs into scalable data models. Analytical Mindset & Problem Solving You have a keen analytical eye, and an ability to solve complex data challenges, coupled with the collaboration skills to work across teams to ensure data quality, governance and performance.
