About the Opportunity As our Coordinator CYP Library Collections & Operations, you will be responsible for the development, coordination, and day-to-day delivery of accessible collections and library services for children and young people with print disability. In this role you will also: Coordinate and lead a team of volunteers and staff to design and produce tactile support resources for inclusion in Feelix kits; Coordinate and lead the intake of new Children and Young people members; Develop retention strategies to engage young people with the library for student and recreational literacy support. View the Position Description for this role About You As part of the Library team, you should have a tertiary qualification in Information Management, Librarianship or similar. In addition, eligibility for associate membership of the ALIA with relevant experience in delivering children’s and young people library services is encouraged. You will also have: Knowledge and understanding of child development and early year’s literacy development and support is desirable Interest and knowledge in latest developments in children’s and young people literature, reading and recreational trends Strong collection development skills and experience, with ability to source, assess, review and make recommendations on appropriate resources and content.
