We are now seeking an experienced General Manager – HSEQ & Sustainability to join our management team and drive our next phase of strategic growth and operational excellence. About the Role Reporting directly to the Executive GM - Commercial and Corporate, this senior leadership position will set the direction for the organisation’s Health, Safety, Environment, Quality (HSEQ) and Sustainability strategies. You will champion a strong safety culture, embed sustainability principles across the business, and ensure compliance with industry standards and legislative requirements. This is a role for a proactive, high-impact leader who can influence at all levels, drive cultural change, and deliver measurable performance improvements. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of the company’s HSEQ & Sustainability strategy. Provide expert advice to the Executive Team and broader management team on emerging risks, compliance trends, and improvement opportunities. Oversee ISO accreditations (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001) and Federal Safety (OFSC) and ensure continual improvement. Embed sustainability into business planning, tendering, project delivery, and supply chain management. Mentor, lead, and develop your team. Represent the company with regulatory bodies, clients, and industry forums. Monitor and report on performance against key metrics and benchmarks. About You You are a strategic thinker with a proven track record of leading HSEQ and Sustainability at a senior leadership level, ideally within civil construction or infrastructure. You can navigate complex regulatory requirements, inspire teams, and deliver tangible results in safety, quality, environment, and sustainability performance. You will bring: Significant senior leadership experience in HSEQ and/or Sustainability. Strong knowledge of relevant safety, environmental, and quality legislation and best practice. Experience managing ISO-certified systems. Experience in OFSC Accreditations Outstanding communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
