We have partnered with a leading manufacturer of HVAC solutions with operations across Australia, Europe, Asia and the Northern Americas regions. Their Australian arm currently requires the skills of a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Product Development Team. The Successful Candidate will play a key role in creating detailed designs, supporting prototype testing, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role is well-suited to someone with strong practical skills in Autodesk Inventor and Vault, and a sound knowledge of HVAC/R systems. Benefits: Private health insurance provided for employees and their families Excellent team and excellent company culture Significant career development opportunities Key Responsibilities: Produce 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in Autodesk Vault PDM Contribute to the design, testing, and refinement of prototypes Perform engineering calculations, including thermodynamic and heat transfer analysis Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and controls teams to deliver high-quality outcomes Support project and team objectives as required Skills & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering 1–3 years’ experience in mechanical design Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault PDM Knowledge of HVAC/R systems and applicable standards (AS/NZS, ANSI/ASTM) Familiarity with FEA, CFD, and heat exchanger design tools (PV Elite, HTRI) Strong written and verbal communication skills Innovative and practical problem-solving abilities Ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Employment is subject to a pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol screening, and police check.
