About the role Reporting to the Senior Manager – Employee Communication, you will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies for both operational businesses and corporate head office. You will work closely with leaders to deliver purposeful, authentic, and inspiring communication that drives alignment and engagement across the business. Your duties will include, but not be limited to: Craft clear, engaging, and informative content for a variety of internal communication channels; Ensure all divisional announcements, key messages, and narratives provide clear direction and alignment for employees; Create content that builds a broader company-wide understanding of the operational businesses, their strategies, achievements, and initiatives; Communicate significant proactive and reactive media and ASX announcements to divisional employees; Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans and provide strategic communication advice and support to business unit leaders and key stakeholders to achieve communication objectives; Support leaders in engaging with their teams by developing purposeful, authentic, and inspiring communication content; Act as a key support for the Senior Manager – Employee Communication on strategic communication planning and incident / issues response; and Monitor communication effectiveness and provide strategic recommendations to continuously enhance performance. About you: This is more than just a writing role. It’s about being a strategic partner who can transform complex information into clear, engaging content that resonates with both office-based and frontline teams. To be successful, you will have: 8 years’ experience in developing and implementing communication strategy to an internal audience; Experience in the mining / energy /utilities / construction industry would be advantageous; Graduate qualifications in Communication, Journalism, Change Management, Business; Strong written skills with the ability to engage and tell a compelling story; Experience developing content that will inspire, motivate, and increase employee engagement; Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience with issues and reputation management; Strong project management skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver to tight deadlines while managing conflicting priorities; and Proactive approach and able to anticipate communication needs.
