We are looking for someone to handle our maintenance in our busy Brisbane Hostels. 2 sites located next to each-other. Start Date End of August Work Schedule is Casual but typically Monday – Friday in 8 hour shifts. The hiree should have a good attention to detail and an eye for spotting ways to improve the hostel business. As-well as have a can-do attitude and like being kept busy. Some kind of carpentry/plumbing experience is preferred but not necessary Tasks include: – Cleaning duties using specialised equipment and chemicals – Perform maintenance and repairs – Perform routine landscaping on the grounds – Painting, sanding and filling gaps or crevices – Undertake light installation or light carpentry – Repair equipment or appliances if possible – Assist tradespeople when needed – Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks – Assembling items – Basic labouring – Identify and report the need for major repair Casual Base rate of 33.38 per hour, Up to 5 days a week.
