Our team is at the forefront of digitally transforming the infrastructure sector having delivered industry leading digital strategy, policy, and change management across the Asia Pacific The Opportunity We have established a dynamic team to meet the challenges to Beca’s traditional engineering services and to support clients with their digital transformation journey. This role, reporting to the General Manager for Defence, Infrastructure Advisory (DIA), has been established to develop a client-facing team within the business, that is responsible for providing specialist subject matter advice to key growth markets for Beca. The Digital Engineering Business Director drives the client facing roadmap, and market penetration strategies across the Australian Business. This is an impactful role, which requires a leader who can communicate clearly, lead and inspire others and translate technical client pain points to actionable service offerings. You will also:- Grow the demand for Digital Engineering services with both established and new clients Help implement digitally-enabled ways of delivering engineering, construction, and maintenance activities; H elp develop BIM and digital engineering practices, identifying new skill requirements and changes in capability, and sharing these practices with clients and delivery practitioners within Beca; communicating the value proposition to the organisation and embed changes in the way BIM and collaborative information management practices (per ISO 19650) are adopted across the project lifecycle; monitor technological innovations in industry ensuring Beca remains contemporary in its delivery practices (eg. encouraging the adoption of technological advances to support health and safety or site optimisation practices); Working with the team, you will motivate to encourage innovative thinking, develop new ideas/approaches and promote the values of Beca. About you You’ll have a relevant tertiary qualification and have Accreditation or similar proof of training with ISO 19650. A solid track record in developing and leading technically capable, diverse and high performing teams and driving a culture of problem-solving, collaboration and excellence and strong communication This experience will preferably be in the engineering sector in Project Management, Design Management, Asset Management, Digital design processes, Geospatial or Surveying where you will have a strong grasp of the drivers for change in the construction and asset management sector You will also have: Experience in leadership positions with demonstrated capability gained in complex organisations (business or organisational leadership, people leadership) Experience leading change and influencing a broad group of stakeholders to adopt new ways of working BIM advisory roles and experience with legislative and industry standards Preferably a background in engineering delivery roles (briefing, design, construction) with a strong and demonstrable business acumen Sound understanding of the service lifecycle of assets, from the investment decision-process through to planning, delivery, handover and operations and maintenance What We Offer: A career with Beca will provide you with: Flexibility & Wellbeing: We recognise that achieving a work-life balance is unique to everyone.
