About the role: This position is central to ensuring the smooth and professional operation of school activities, providing high-level administrative support across staffing, finance, committee coordination, and day-to-day enquiries. Working closely with both academic and professional staff, the role supports seamless communication, accurate reporting, and efficient service delivery in line with university procedures. As an Administrative Officer, you will: Deliver high-quality administrative support across committee coordination, staffing, finance, and governance, ensuring operations run smoothly and in line with university policies and procedures. Manage enquiries and communication by responding promptly and professionally to academic, professional, and external stakeholders, handling sensitive information with confidentiality. Provide general administrative assistance to support teaching and learning tasks, academic onboarding and inductions, research seminars and workshops, room bookings, visitor arrangements, sessional recruitment and data entry. Prepare and manage documentation including reports, statistical data, spreadsheets, agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions to support planning, governance, and committee functions. Offer cross-functional and frontline support by acting as the first point of contact for the School, delivering responsive service and assisting other admin teams as needed. To be successful, you’ll have: Completion of a Degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or Completion of an Associate Diploma and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training Experience in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies, and procedures. Experience in operating in a high-pressure diverse environment, involving face to face, phone, and written issue.
