Our client is a federal government agency that plays a critical role in managing a range of high-profile issues across Australia. The Opportunity There is one vacancy available at either APS6 or EL1 level. The agency is seeking an experienced Financial Administrator with strong expertise in TechnologyOne. The role will ensure the organisation’s financial systems (TechnologyOne) remain compliant with accounting standards, government policies, and internal requirements. Flexible working arrangements are available for the right candidate. These positions are offered as 12-month labour hire contracts, with potential for extension or permanency. The Role As a Financial Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of financial systems, ensuring they function smoothly and in compliance with regulatory requirements. Your key responsibilities will include: Managing the agency’s financial systems and interfaces, including maintaining user access, asset registers, contract and purchasing records, and general ledgers within TechnologyOne Providing second-level user support and guidance for TechnologyOne Performing month-end and end-of-financial-year processes for core financial systems Actively contributing to financial system projects and assisting with system enhancements Coordinating financial management information system (FMIS) testing and overseeing system upgrades Identifying and driving business and process improvement initiatives, including developing and delivering training as required Managing process documentation for the Financial Systems Team to ensure consistency and compliance Building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal teams and key stakeholders The Ideal Person You will be an experienced system accountant or financial administrator with strong TechnologyOne expertise, a sound understanding of accounting standards, and solid analytical and project management skills. CIA version experience is preferred but not essential. For EL1 applicants, demonstrated experience in the federal government or manager-level consulting experience in financial systems projects (specifically involving federal government clients) is required.
