We are seeking an experienced end to end accounts receivable officer to join a transport & distribution company in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. This permanent role focuses on managing accounts receivable processes and ensuring accurate financial records. Description This is a true end-to-end Accounts Receivable role where you'll take full ownership of your ledger and play a key role in keeping the cash flow healthy and the customers happy. Manage the full AR function including invoicing, receipting, allocations, and reconciliations Conduct proactive follow-ups on outstanding payments via phone and email Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, payment histories, and debtors ledger Prepare and send invoices, monthly statements, and AR reports Investigate and resolve customer credit enquiries and discrepancies Raise credit requests and process weekly sales invoices Collaborate with internal teams (including pricing) to ensure timely and accurate billing Perform bank reconciliations and support month-end reporting Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to system upgrades Assist the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as needed Profile To thrive in this role, you'll bring: 2-5 years of end-to-end Accounts Receivable experience, ideally within transport or distribution Solid understanding of debt collection processes and strategies Collection skills over email and particularly over the phone. Strong attention to detail and top-notch organisational skills Excellent communication skills, you're confident with customers and collaborative with internal teams A proactive mindset with a knack for solving problems and improving processes Tech-savvy with solid skills in Word, Outlook, Excel, and accounting systems Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are a plus.
