Property Portfolio Manager opportunity Approx. $90-$100 per hour plus Super dependent on experience Assignment duration is up to 3 months. Immediate Start Melbourne CBD location/Hybrid Arrangement About the role Government department requires an experienced Property Portfolio Manager to join them on a short-term assignment for a duration of up to a period of 3-month based in Melbourne CBD. As the Property Portfolio Manager, you will be the key relationship partner for the land and property group office buildings portfolio. As the Property Portfolio Manager, you will be primarily responsible for optimising the efficient and effective management of the portfolio, currently comprising 20 sites. Key duties Your key tasks and responsibilities will include: Identification of projects required for the capital works program ensuring projects are appropriately justified Experience working with 3rd party project management organisations to deliver individual projects, liaising with the Senior Program Manager for project delivery and Project Managers Escalation point for facilities management issues on the portfolio from Key Contact Person and Facilities Management Officers, ensuring clear communications and processes for approvals of relevant Facilities Management activities Regular liaison with Tenants, outsourced providers for facilities management, Key Contact Person and Facilities Management Officers Provide advice and act as an escalation point for real estate matters from the Key Contact Person and Real Estate Officers Formulate accurate and timely advice on a variety of property matters related to the portfolio, including its responsibilities under the Asset Management and Accountability Framework and relevant legislation Provide input to, and/or coordinating the development of, strategies related to the office buildings portfolio, with consideration to: the plans and requirements of tenants including VPS occupant departments the financial viability of buildings the options of divesting existing buildings or acquiring new buildings to provide office accommodation to the public service Environmental performance, including NABERS energy and water ratings; and Occupant satisfaction and rental return Key Selection Criteria The skills and experience you will need to demonstrate include: Extensive experience in overseeing facilities management services across a commercial portfolio, providing sound recommendations and applying problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise at all levels, to represent the Division and the Department and to lead or work in teams Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, building relationships and networking Strong understanding of facilities management, and property management procedures and related legislation and policies, including the Asset Management and Accountability Framework (as per Ministerial Directions under the Financial Management Act) Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Commercial Property Management or similar How to apply?
