This 5-month contract (commencing September 2025) offers the chance to work with young people aged 12–25 who are at risk of or experiencing a first episode of psychosis. You’ll provide assessments, care planning, and evidence-based interventions as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team. Under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist, you’ll contribute to recovery-focused care while developing your clinical skills in a nationally recognised youth mental health service. Experience Requirements: Experience supporting young people (12–25) with first episode and/or ultra-high risk of psychosis. Demonstrated ability to assess and manage acute psychosis in a youth mental health setting. Knowledge of youth-specific mental health issues and recovery-oriented care principles. Competence in conducting comprehensive psychiatric and mental health assessments. Experience developing care plans and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with clinical practice guidelines for common psychiatric disorders. Skills in liaising with referrers, carers, and community organisations for coordinated care. Qualification and Other Requirements: Current enrolment in a RANZCP Psychiatry Registrar Training Program is desirable.
