Who we are looking for We have an ongoing full-time position for a Management Accountant, based in Warrnambool. This position comes with a generous salary of $88,863 to $96,615 p.a. plus superannuation. We're looking for a qualified accountant to support our Financial Controller. You'll help with our price submission and regulatory reporting, and contribute to the wider accounting activities of Wannon Water. This role is key to ensuring appropriate processes and systems are in place to accurately capture data to enable the monitoring, forecasting and reporting of financial information. Job Description What you'll be doing On a day-to-day basis, you'll: Assist with the development and lodgement of the five-year price submission including provision of economic modelling, price forecasting and interpretation of information. Provide economic modelling and advice regarding strategic business planning documents and reports. Assist with the annual report, including preparation of workpapers in support of accounting standards and disclosures within the report. Assist in the end-of-month process according to established corporation procedures and processes to ensure timely production of reports. Desired Skills and Experience What you’ll bring We’re looking for someone with Associated tertiary qualifications and either CAANZ or CPA post-graduate qualifications. Strong understanding of financial reporting and budgeting in a business environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage different user groups to implement improvements to systems and processes. High attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and confidence using accounting software, reporting platforms and excel. For further details, see the position description available here.
