Western Australia, Australia Job Family Group: Production Engineering Upstream Worker Type: Regular Posting Start Date: August 11, 2025 Business unit: Experience Level: Experienced Professionals Job Description: The Prelude FLNG facility is stationed northeast of Broome, Western Australia, in Australian Commonwealth waters. The Prelude FLNG operation comprises sub-sea wells tied back to an FLNG facility encompassing gas processing and liquefaction through to LNG/LPG/Condensate storage and offloading, along with the requisite supporting marine and utilities facilities. The position will be working at the Prelude FLNG facility. Candidates must be Perth based, or willing to relocate. What you'll be doing You will be allocated to one of the four production areas - Utilities; Storage & Loading; Upstream or LNG. Duties include but are not limited to: - Adhere to and promote safety and environmental procedures to ensure safety of self, personnel, process plant and environment. - Ensure equipment is operated within the design envelope and maintained in accordance with the required standards, utilizing FSR and operational risk assessments where required. - Respond to any process emergency under the direction of the Area Team Leader to provide first-line emergency response in accordance with emergency procedures. - Assist in the continuous safe and efficient operation of the FLNG to maintain quality of product to customers. - Execute field operations activities in accordance with daily routines, production, and maintenance plans, including system isolation and depressurization for maintenance. - Control all work in area of accountability through the Permit-To-Work system to ensure effective work execution and prevent any undue conflict or unsafe acts. - Support safe and effective operation of the PTW system through designing, verifying, and implementing process isolations and issuing, endorsing, and assuring permits. - Communicate any abnormal condition or potential equipment failure that could cause unsafe operation or off spec product quality and take effective action as directed by the Area Team Leader. - Updating all relevant logs during their shift period to maintain an accurate record of plant and equipment and communicate any abnormal conditions to their relief. - Perform the necessary operational activities during start-up, shutdown and normal operation of wells and equipment according to the instructions and approved procedures. - Under the direction of the Area Team Leader, carry out first line maintenance tasks in their specific area. - Troubleshoot abnormalities related in their production area. - Support development of operating and maintenance procedures, work instructions. What you bring - Relevant technical/vocational qualification with previous experience as a Production Technician in a similar operational environment is required. - Knowledge of hydrocarbon processing. - Experience with operation of steam turbines and turbine certification. - Experience as a Panel/CCR Technician would be an advantage. - Team player, safety leader, respectful and inclusive, with good communication skills. The position functions on a roster (3 weeks on/ 4 weeks off, then 3 weeks on / 5 weeks off) working 12-hour day and night shifts. Flexible work options will be considered.
