For more than two decades we have provided specialised, personal services for businesses, farmers, individuals and retirees. We are currently seeking a driven and professional Head of Paraplanning to join our team in Wendouree in a full time role working 38 hours a week across 5 days. Duties and Responsibilities : Oversee the end-to-end paraplanning workflow, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of Statements of Advice (SoAs), Records of Advice (RoAs), and strategy documentation. Manage a team of paraplanners, including performance management, task allocation, training, and professional development. Develop, document, and maintain internal paraplanning policies, procedures, and templates in line with legislative and licensee requirements. Provide internal technical guidance to financial advisers regarding strategy formulation, research methodology, modelling, and compliance obligations. Conduct internal audits of advice documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency with ASIC, AFSL, and internal governance standards. Liaise with the compliance team to ensure continuous alignment with regulatory and legislative updates. Lead process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing paraplanning efficiency, compliance, and adviser support. Prepare and deliver internal training materials to maintain team competency in advice documentation and product knowledge. Contribute to internal projects relating to advice process optimisation, client service model updates, and technology adoption. Support management in planning resource allocation and internal controls within the advice division. Applicants must have a minimum 3-7 years of relevant work experience in paraplanning or technical financial advice support, with at least 2 years in a senior or team leadership role. They must also hold an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning (or higher qualification in a related field). Further Essential Criteria : Deep understanding of ASIC regulatory guidelines and AFSL advice compliance requirements. Demonstrated experience in leading a paraplanning team or managing technical advice support processes within a financial advice firm. Proficiency in financial planning software and modelling tools (e.g., XPLAN, Midwinter, COIN). Strong organisational, analytical, and documentation skills. Proven ability to develop and implement internal processes, templates, and quality assurance frameworks. Desirable Criteria : Experience conducting compliance audits and breach reviews in an advice support setting. Experience delivering training or mentoring within a paraplanning or technical services team. Exposure to platform transactions, investment product research, and SoA review cycles. The successful candidate will be offered a salary between $77,000 - $85,000.
