They now seek an experienced Accountant to join their team. The Role: The role on hire is for a full time Accountant based Adelaide, SA at an annual salary set at $80,000 plus superannuation. The Responsibilities: The Accountant duties include but are not limited to: Development and implementation of accounting and internal control systems and selection of appropriate accounting policies Preparation of cash flow, budget, and evaluation of financial risks for capital investment projects Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with prescribed college policies and procedures Ensure the accuracy of the information provided in the financial statements Preparation of financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing accounting information for stakeholders Preparation of special purpose reports regarding absorption, consolidation, mergers, capital financing, financial commitments, and obligations, if required Analyse operations, trends, costs, and revenue of the organization Liaison with external accountants for the preparation of tax returns and business activity statements Preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, analysing financial figures, and commenting on discrepancies Liaise with external tax accountants and government authorities for auditing purposes Responsible for conducting periodic internal audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and taking relevant measures to eliminate financial risks Supervise end-to-end payroll for employees on a weekly and fortnightly basis Analyse operating costs and expenditures, escalating findings to senior management for improvement The Requirements: At least a Bachelor Degree in Accounting Must have at least 2 years' accounting experience in a professional capacity gained within Australia Must have at least 2 years' accounting experience in a corporate setting Must have at least 2 years' commercial experience in MYOB Accounting and XERO software Must have at least 2 years' commercial experience with company income tax and GST Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy with the ability to multi-task Shows initiative, has strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset Demonstrates outstanding written and verbal communication skills Excellent time-management skills with exceptional ability to work under pressure
