About the Role Relationships Australia Queensland is seeking a dedicated professional to drive strategy and efficiency across our operations in South Queensland. As the Head of Operations – South, you will provide visionary leadership and operational oversight for our southern Queensland venues, working in close partnership with the Head of Operations – North and reporting directly to the General Manager for Client Services. In this pivotal senior leadership role, you will empower and support Regional and Senior Managers to deliver seamless, high-quality front-line services aligned to our purpose and strategic objectives. You will play a key role in driving operational excellence, embedding cross-functional collaboration, and inspiring your teams. You will also ensure all southern venues are fully resourced, compliant, and positioned for continuous improvement in outcomes, with a steadfast commitment to supporting our clients and driving positive, lasting change in the community. Additionally, you will: Collaborate closely with the Head of Operations – North and the General Manager for Client Services to align regional strategies and operational goals. Lead and support Regional and Senior Managers to optimise service delivery and ensure consistent compliance with policies and funding requirements Monitor, analyse, and respond to operational performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions. Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and financial management to maintain operational efficiency across all southern Queensland venues. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, quality assurance, and risk management practices to uphold organisational standards and client safety. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including funding bodies, government agencies, and community partners. Champion a positive workplace culture that values collaboration, accountability, diversity, and inclusion. About You You are a results-oriented leader with extensive experience in senior operational management, ideally within the community services or not-for-profit sector. You bring a strategic mindset coupled with strong business acumen, enabling you to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across geographically dispersed sites. Your leadership style is collaborative and empowering, with a demonstrated ability to engage and inspire diverse teams to achieve shared goals. You possess excellent communication skills, financial management expertise, and a thorough understanding of compliance, risk management, and funding requirements. Above all, you are deeply committed to making a positive impact by supporting those we serve and fostering lasting, meaningful change in the community. Additionally, you have: Relevant undergraduate qualification in Business, Social/Behavioural Sciences and/or Law. Proven experience leading and managing diverse teams across multiple locations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and operational data to drive informed decisions. In-depth knowledge of compliance, risk management, and funding requirements within the community services or not-for-profit sector. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to manage change and lead continuous improvement initiatives. A collaborative approach, fostering inclusion, accountability, and a positive workplace culture.
