The role includes Assist in the implementation and continual improvement of the site Environmental Management System, including internal, external audits and inspections, training and awareness programs or environmental initiatives Partner with key stakeholders in the provision of coordination, support, direction and expertise in proactive environmental management ensuring effective controls are in plan and managed, compliant with legislative, heritage and corporate obligations Advise on and facilitate land access for operations, including considerations of tenure, stakeholder consultation and agreement and legal permissions under the relevant Environment and Heritage Acts Developing and reviewing the application of new procedures, processes, methodologies and technologies where appropriate Assist in the preparation of department budgets and forecasts ensuring that all operational and capital needs are adequately catered for to effectively deliver on the department’s business plan Continually ensure that expenses are effectively controlled with cost saving opportunities identified and implemented wherever practicable Direct contractors within area of accountability in a cost effective and efficient manner, ensuring that they are aware of performance targets, have the necessary tools to achieve these and that their activities are aligned with Company targets Provide mentorship to direct reports to ensure behaviours, actions and attitudes align with the company’s Core Values What do I need?
