The Foundation works in partnership with communities to deliver programs that create lasting positive change. They are currently seeking a Senior Program Advisor to lead their newly established Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) Program in the Northern Territory. The Senior Program Advisor will be responsible for leading, implementing, and managing the DFSV program across the greater Darwin region. This newly created role is grounded in culturally responsive, trauma-informed practice and will work closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to design and deliver place-based strategies to prevent and respond to family, domestic and sexual violence. This full-time role is based in Darwin, NT and is an identified position so it is only open to candidates who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. This role will be responsible for: • Delivering the DFSV program in line with strategic objectives. • Leading program planning, delivery, evaluation, and reporting. • Building strong, respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders, Elders, and community leaders. • Ensuring cultural protocols are embedded across all program activities. • Engaging with community, government, and private sector partners to drive action and investment in DFSV prevention. • Facilitating community consultations, training, and awareness campaigns. • Representing the Foundation in forums, working groups, and stakeholder meetings. • Managing contracts, grants, and service provider performance. • Developing culturally appropriate program resources and communication materials. Skills and Attributes Required: • Strong Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander leader with deep cultural knowledge. • Minimum 5 years’ experience in DFSV prevention and response, including leadership roles. • Proven ability to work respectfully with diverse First Nations communities. • Strong stakeholder management and diplomacy skills. • Program management experience from design to delivery and evaluation. • Resilience, patience, and ability to work in challenging environments. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Understanding of relevant NT legislation and policy frameworks relating to DFSV. Salary: $140K – $160K Total Remuneration plus 10% Short-Term Incentive and benefits.
