We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to be based in the Sydney CBD in NSW. About you You will be the face of the OTIS brand and responsible for installing lifts, escalators, and travelators in compliance with the relevant codes and Otis specifications and procedures. This role will report to the Construction Manager and work closely with other Installers, Electricians, adjusters, and field engineers, as well as Construction Coordinators. Key Responsibilities - Install and Modernize lifts, escalators, and travelators, working to the highest safety and environmental standards while meeting service targets. - Ensure the timely completion of defects identified during the service /handover inspection, in coordination with the Project Manager. - Identify process improvement opportunities and help facilitate continuous improvement to ensure customer satisfaction with your processes. - Maintain company tools, equipment, and materials properly and safeguard such property. - Perform work in accordance with the relevant lift industry codes and standards and maintain and work to the Quality System. - Comply with the company's Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures, including reporting any conditions that may impact on the environment or any employee. What you will need to be successful - Have a Fitting Trade Qualification or equivalent experience . - Enjoys communicating with various stakeholders at different levels and working closely with others in the field. - Solutions-oriented, independent, and well-organized. - Willing to travel in & out of the region and able to work unsupervised. - Has the ability to transfer knowledge and skills through training. - Able to plan and prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner.
