The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations, drive culinary innovation, and uphold our high standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in authentic Italian cuisine, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering a premium dining experience. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality Italian dishes, pastries, and premium café-style offerings. Design, plan, and implement seasonal menus that showcase fresh, locally sourced, and authentic ingredients. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure every dish meets established quality, taste, and presentation standards. Manage stock control, supplier relationships, and ordering processes to maintain cost efficiency and minimise waste. Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene regulations, and workplace health and safety standards. Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture. Collaborate with management to develop new menu concepts, special events, and promotional offerings. Maintain efficiency and quality under high-pressure, fast-paced service conditions. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience as a Chef in an Italian restaurant, patisserie, or café. Strong knowledge of Italian pastries, gelato, and classic Italian cuisine. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
