As a Work Health & Safety (WHS) Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the WHS management system, ensuring compliance, and promoting a culture of safety first. Incident & Hazard Management – Investigate and report on hazards and incidents, collaborating with stakeholders to drive safety improvements. Safety Training & Leadership – Develop and deliver WHS training and inductions for employees, contractors, and volunteers. Committee & Stakeholder Engagement – Lead the WHS Committee and support site safety leaders in implementing safety initiatives. Audits & Compliance – Conduct WHS audits, maintain risk registers, and manage any regulatory notices. Health Monitoring – Oversee health assessments such as hearing checks and vaccinations. Workplace Coaching – Partner with managers to build their capability in managing workplace safety. Your Experience & Skills Qualifications – Tertiary qualifications in WHS or equivalent (Injury Management qualifications desirable). Experience – Hands-on experience managing WHS systems and partnering with stakeholders. Problem-Solving – Ability to identify risks, conduct investigations, and implement solutions. Communication & Influence – Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to coach and educate teams. Organisation & Adaptability – Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to juggle multiple priorities. Data-Driven Approach – Ability to analyse safety data and generate insights to drive improvements.
