The Gig If you’re a site-based civil engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality water infrastructure, this role will see you working on pumping station renewal projects that keep communities running. Based in the Central Coast region, you’ll work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to plan, deliver, and report on works to program and budget, all while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll be on the ground ensuring milestones are met, quality is delivered, and strong relationships are built with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders. Your ability to plan ahead, adapt to changing site conditions, and resolve challenges quickly will be key to achieving successful outcomes. Technical precision underpins everything you do , from reviewing designs and planning works to coordinating resources, managing risks, and finding innovative solutions. You’ll streamline delivery, protect safety, and ensure every stage of the build adds lasting value. You will be trusted with: Coordinating daily site activities to meet program milestones Reviewing designs, scopes, and technical documentation for buildability Managing subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality and compliance Monitoring progress and preparing daily/weekly reports for the project teams Maintaining strict safety standards and compliance with regulations Identifying risks early and implementing mitigation strategies Supporting cost control and procurement processes Liaising with stakeholders to maintain strong project relationships Driving continuous improvement in delivery methods and outcomes Ensuring environmental controls and sustainability requirements are met What’s in your toolbox? Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) 3 years’ experience delivering civil, water, or infrastructure projects Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach Confident communicator who builds trust with teams and stakeholders Organised, detail-driven, and committed to safety, quality, and results You’re the kind of person who thrives on-site, stays calm under pressure, and takes ownership from start to finish.
