To improve community safety, it continues to advocate for better public policy to reduce the overuse of incarceration, implement Restorative Justice and work with its clients to transition them to a new future. Our client is seeking high performing candidates for the role of CEO who have demonstrated passion, commitment and enthusiasm to lead and drive the strategic direction and vision of OARS CT into its next era of impact. Reporting to the Board, the CEO’s key result areas include but are not limited to: Governance : Provision of accurate, timely and transparent advice and support to the Board to ensure all obligations are met. Leadership : Provision of visionary, ethical and transparent leadership based on purpose and values. Service Delivery : Drive the development and delivery of high-quality, innovative services and programs that achieve OARS CT’s purpose and government funding requirements. Resource Management and Finances : Consistent achievement of ongoing financial metrics Stakeholder Management : Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to achieve industry leadership, changes to public policy, and create strategic alliances. Strategic Management : Development and implementation of the strategic plan. People and Place : Ensure that an effective organisational structure is in place to attract, engage and retain professional staff and volunteers in a safe and harmonious work environment. As the successful candidate, you will be a strategic, values-based leader with a deep and genuine commitment to OARS CT’s purpose. You will have demonstrated successful leadership in similarly complex and challenging not-for-profit or community service organisations, a comprehensive and contemporary knowledge and understanding of the corrections industry, and the principles of effective restorative justice practice. With outstanding leadership, organisational and planning skills, as well as the ability to develop and nurture productive working relationships with a range of key stakeholders, particularly amongst industry and government. Your high level of emotional intelligence, focus on continuous improvement and development, and demonstrated ability to effectively influence and advocate for public policy change will be critical to your success in this role.
