The role The Asia Pacific (APAC) Business Development Team at Palladium is a strategic engine for growth, driving high-value opportunities across the region in alignment with Palladium’s global vision. As the Senior Manager, Business Development, you will play a critical role in developing strategic proposals that shape the future of donor-funded programming in the region. This position requires advanced expertise in proposal design, a nuanced understanding of key clients, and the regional political-economic landscape. Leveraging deep sector knowledge and strategic insight, you will help expand Palladium’s impact across the region. Key responsibilities include: Identify and shape early-stage opportunities, assess market dynamics, and position Palladium for success in a competitive landscape. Provide leadership to keep bids on track, ensure robust strategy, and engage the right team to secure wins. Design and implement compelling tender strategies while building meaningful relationships with clients, partners, and consultants for long-term collaboration. Guide the preparation of EOIs and proposals, ensuring submissions reflect innovation, quality, and strategic alignment with client needs. Participate in workshops to shape proposal direction and deepen understanding of client priorities. Own the proposal development process from start to finish, crafting narratives, integrating inputs, and articulating Palladium’s value proposition. Support bid managers in coordinating inputs from legal, compliance, recruitment, costing, and design to ensure high-quality proposals. Maintain strong relationships with regional teams to ground proposals in real-world insights and best practices. Oversee capture efforts, ensuring bids are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards. Foster a culture of continuous improvement in business development processes. Ensure review processes adhere to timelines and feedback is effectively incorporated. About you You should have extensive experience with managing contractors or donor clients in international development. Experience in policy analysis, research, or proposal development is advantageous. Additional key requirements include: A strong sense of accountability for business growth. Ability to build effective relationships with diverse clients and work in politically sensitive environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; regional languages are a plus. Good interpersonal skills and team collaboration. High attention to detail and quality focus.
