Due to our rapid growth, we require several Small Engine Mechanics and Diesel Motor Mechanics to join our team on a permanent basis to service and maintain our fleet of equipment, and perform retail maintenance, service and repairs. Applicants must have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role. Responsibilities and duties: Detecting and diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults in engines and parts Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering, mechanisms and other components, and checking parts Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts, reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations Testing and adjusting mechanic parts after being repaired for proper performance Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers Perform operational safety checks May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness May respond to vehicle breakdown service calls Provide customers with technical and operational advice A salary between $76,515 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful applicants.
