We’re looking for a Technical Director – Marine Approvals & Studies to join our Environment team. Our Environment business has maintained strong growth in recent years and is currently one of the largest groups in WA, being a leader in impact assessment and approvals, terrestrial ecology, marine, air and noise assessments services. Our diverse team contributes to a wide variety of projects, with a strategic focus on renewable energy, critical minerals and Defence at a regional, national and global scale. Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Delivers Marine Environmental Assessment and Approvals projects across sectors (offshore gas, renewables, ports, Defence), ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards. Leads and contributes to proposals, scoping briefs, technical reports, and bids, providing technical leadership and innovation. Builds and maintains strong client relationships, supporting business development, repeat work, and revenue growth. Collaborates across disciplines and Service Lines to secure projects, maintain team utilisation, and support business planning. Represents GHD externally to promote capabilities and grow the client base. Manages and leads project teams, delegating tasks, tracking progress, and providing feedback on performance. What you will bring to the team: Bachelor of Marine Science (Environmental) degree or related field. 15 years relevant experience (consulting environment preferred) Draws on professional knowledge and best practice to define or diagnose issues or obstacles and define the most effective and efficient solution for moderately complex problems. Client-centric with a passion for engaging with key clients. Well-developed communication skills to facilitate client engagement. Ability to influence with or without formal authority.
