About the Role We are seeking expressions of interest for experienced and safety-focused underground operators to join our dynamic team at Bluestone Mines Tasmania in various positions, including; · Charge Up Operators · Loader Operators · Jumbo Operators · Grader Operators · Production Drillers · Service Crew · Truck Drivers · Nippers As an underground operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our underground mining activities. You must be capable of working within the environmental limitations and conditions of the Bluestone underground site, while ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements and company Health & Safety standards and procedures. This position is offered as a residential or drive-in drive-out (DIDO) role on 7 days on, 7 days off shift roster. Core Responsibilities · Operate underground mining equipment such as loaders, trucks, graders safely and efficiently. · Conduct pre-start checks on vehicles and machinery, accurately recording work completed, hazards requiring attention, and machinery condition. · Install services, including ventilation, water and pump systems, as required. · Ensure consumables are organised and available for work tasks. · Conduct workplace inspections and participate in safety meetings and training sessions. · Communicating effectively with crew and cross shift regarding important factors of the job · Maintain accurate records of work activities, including shift reports and equipment logs via Simbio tablets. · Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, contributing to a culture of safety and continuous improvement About You To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to proactively enhance your skills and competency levels through further training as required, while maintaining safety as a priority and actively contributing to making the workplace safer. You will have experience working in an underground mining environment and possess the necessary certifications and licenses relevant to underground operations.
