The opportunity for U We’re now on the lookout for a Test Team Lead to supervise our team of testers and be responsible for testing changes for new and existing clients. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Developers, Scrum Masters with an opportunity to automate and increase focus on regression testing. This role is only advertised internally. Job Description What U will do: Supervise Team of testers Responsible for test strategy, allocation, tracking and test reporting across allocated projects Accountable for the across project view of testing activities, strategies, risks and issues, scope and coverage Implement automation and increase focus on regression testing Work with Project teams to ensure that allocation and tracking meets quality objectives Status reporting for the project and to the Group Test Manager Escalate to the Group Test Manager and Project Managers for quality risks Accountability for testing task delivery Ensure adherence to the testing methodologies and QA principles set at the Group level through the usage of manual and automated testing tools for the consistent delivery of quality software Identify and recommend areas for improvement in the testing and development environments, using solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle. Apply due diligence and care to the role U will be someone with: At least 6 years testing experience with at least 3 years in a test lead role Solid understanding of testing methodologies and testing techniques Strong estimation and planning skills Experience in black & white box testing techniques Experience in Functional System Testing, Intergration System Testing (including testing with stubs and harnesses) and Regression testing a must. Knowledge of automated testing technologies, testing frameworks and best practices. Experience co-ordinating non-functional testing activities Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a clear thought process Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and unambiguous manner Good understanding of defect tracking process Ability to listen to others well and to be able to draw out missing information Ability to work in a team environment and attention to detail Must have good interpersonal, problem-solving, scheduling and organisational skills. Ability to learn and understand new concepts quickly Tertiary qualification in an IT-related degree Experience working with relational databases and SQL Industry knowledge relevant to the Finance, Banking and Securities sectors is advantageous. Experience testing with trading systems highly advantageous. Ability to liaise with all levels of staff and management. This role requires knowledge of and experience in people management.
