Journey Early Learning is seeking an experienced and passionate Centre Manager to lead the opening of our brand new, purpose-built centre in St Albans, opening in late August This is a rare opportunity to shape a high-performing team and create a centre culture from the ground up! Right from the moment the doors open Our new centre will be a vibrant and modern space designed for child-led learning, meaningful connection, and community engagement. Located near our existing Melbourne services, St Albans represents our continued commitment to delivering high-quality education and care across Victoria. About the role You’ll be involved in everything from day one - from hiring and mentoring your team, to embedding Journey’s values, to shaping the look and feel of the learning environment Key Responsibilities: Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times Managing the performance and success of your centre Management of daily operations, budgets, wages, rostering, occupancy Lead, coach, develop and support the professional development of your team Developing strong relationships with families and the community Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations Advocating for the rights of every child within your centre Implementation & evaluation of quality programs that support the development of children. About You You’re a confident and visionary leader who’s ready to take ownership of a new service. You bring a deep commitment to early learning, strong communication skills, and the ability to inspire and unify a team. Key Responsibilities: Previous experience working in a leadership role Demonstrated commitment to providing a safe, caring & supportive environment for all children Demonstrated ability to adhere to the ECA code of Ethics and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the child Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours while engaging with children ACECQA-approved Diploma in Children’s Services or bachelor’s degree (Early Education) Current Valid Working with Children & National Police Check Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate About Us At Journey Early Learning, we aim to create a safe, secure, homely environment where everyone feels welcome.
