We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Operations Security and Access Manager to join our Operations team in Brisbane, QLD or Perth, WA on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Head of Operations Risk & Resilience, you will lead and manage the Operations security and access control functions, aligning with strategic security objectives and regulatory requirements, uplifting current capabilities and fostering a proactive security culture across critical infrastructure assets. This role has been created to support the strategic enhancement of operational security capabilities and is an exciting opportunity for a proven security manager to join our team to shape and lead protective security across our Operations division. With a pragmatic approach to security risk management and strong stakeholder relationship skills, you will support the uplift of security across our national portfolio of energy infrastructure assets. Key Responsibilities Provide security leadership and build security awareness across Operations and including senior leaders Work with Group Security to align priorities and ensure organisational objectives are being met Lead the Operations division in identifying, managing security threats and risks both internal and external to APA, along with leading and engaging peers across functions to understand and align on Operations security risks and controls Develop and implement long-term security strategies aligned with organisational goals and national infrastructure protection standards Develop and implement security protocols and oversee daily security operations including surveillance, access control systems, incident response, threat and vulnerability monitoring Conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to Australian energy sector regulations, including Critical Infrastructure legislation Your background High level of strategic planning skills, including the implementation of security risk management, compliance and performance strategies Extensive knowledge of security regulatory requirements and other security standards A proven record of leading a team responsible for advising, administering, and successfully implementing security standards and procedures in a service delivery / infrastructure organisation Experience in leading and conducting security audits and security incident investigations and undertaking and facilitating security risk assessments Security Certifications (highly desirable) Working at APA At APA we’re committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace where you can achieve your best.
