Company : Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd Hastings Deering is seeking a Risk and Assurance Specialist to join our Safety team in Brisbane . This permanent, full-time role plays a critical part in the development, implementation, and continual improvement of our integrated Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) management systems. As a subject matter expert, you will drive compliance through internal audits and contribute to risk management initiatives, ensuring alignment with ISO standards, regulatory requirements and Sime Industrial Machinery Australasia’s (SIMA) strategic goals. Key responsibilities: Deliver clear and actionable reports from audits and due diligence activities Maintain certified HSEQ systems across all SIMA subsidiaries Monitor and update compliance frameworks in line with legislative changes Validate and maintain risk profiles within SIMA’s HSEQ systems Document initiatives that improve operational performance and efficiency About you: Tertiary or vocational qualifications in Health, Safety, Environment, or a related field Minimum 10 years’ experience in HSEQ roles, with a strong focus on auditing and compliance Certified Lead Auditor in HSEQ Management Systems Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks Experience engaging with regulators and external audit providers Familiarity with enterprise risk management systems Industry experience in mining, manufacturing, or heavy equipment (desirable) Join us and contribute to building a safer, more sustainable future across Hastings Deering’s operations!
