The People, Strategy and Safety Branch is the centre of capability identification, acquisition, mobilisation and development in the department and supports the department to achieve its complex agenda through a highly capable, diverse and inclusive workforce. We provide valuable support and guidance to business areas through our closely connected sections: Health, Safety and Welfare Strategy and Systems; Health, Safety and Welfare Operations; Establishments and HR Reporting; Culture, Diversity, and Inclusion; Talent, Leadership and Capability; Workforce Strategy, Planning and Design. As the Strategic HR Business Partner Team , you will provide expert guidance to implement and enhance workforce responsibilities and capacity that align with the department's goals. Your focus will be on building an inclusive performance culture, embedding workforce planning, building capability, and using workforce analysis to assist with decision making while offering high-quality support and advice to managers. By collaborating closely with the senior leadership group, you'll drive strategies that enhance attraction, engagement, retention, succession planning, and well-being, ensuring our workforce is prepared to meet future needs. This role will be instrumental in supporting the Strategic HR business partner to showcase the value and impact of the HR team, driving positive change and fostering a collaborative culture. The key duties of the position include The Job The duties will include but are not limited to the following: fostering collaborative relationships with Executive and Senior Managers, and act as trusted advisors to executive leaders, leveraging workforce data and a deep understanding of HR practices, providing insights and guidance on strategic decisions, working with colleagues in the People, Property, and Security Division to create collaborative HR solutions that address workforce challenges and anticipate future risks, providing advice to senior management to address workforce risks with objective, consistent and culturally sensitive solutions, supporting people focused initiatives to foster a positive and safe workplace, embedding expected behaviours to support future business strategies, achieving strategic goals while managing different projects and needs across the organisation to ensure successful results and efficiency savings, supporting the delivery of strategies, frameworks and advice that works for a geographically dispersed and functionally diverse workforce with business areas.
