We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Consultant to join a public sector organisation's technology department in Melbourne. The consultant will work under limited direction and be responsible for proactively supporting the Program Manager with an exciting data collection and acquisition, management, reporting, analysis and providing input to data related policy for the agency. Description Review and map existing business processes and procedural documentation within the team. Develop and maintain accurate reports, data visualisation dashboards and software packages to support internal stakeholders in delivering their business objectives. Design and develop clear and user-friendly instruction materials - including guides, manuals, and checklists that support best practice and legislative compliance. Conduct data analysis, identify and investigate data issues, and cleanse and prepare data to support ongoing business process improvement and sound decision-making. Excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills, with a track record of producing clear, concise and persuasive documents for executive audiences. In-depth knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, Power Bi or other related business intelligence, data extracting, reporting or manipulation software and tools. Strong technical skills in data collection, consolidation and analytics including experience using business intelligence, data warehousing and enterprise content management systems. Highly developed stakeholder management skills including the ability to negotiate, influence, consult, and communicate effectively to support business change and drive the rapid adoption of new concepts.
