We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Advisor to join our team in Perth, WA on a permanent full-time basis. This role will be supporting the commercial performance and growth of our remote and on-grid power generation assets. In this high-impact role, you will report to the Head of Commercial – West and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes across existing and new energy developments. You will lead the negotiation and management of offtake and related commercial agreements, identify and pursue commercial optimisation initiatives and ensure robust, balanced risk allocation to protect APA’s commercial and operational interests. Key Responsibilities Lead the commercial execution and day-to-day management of new and existing commercial agreements, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Development Agreements and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Agreements Develop and execute strategies to enhance commercial outcomes for existing assets Work closely with project delivery, legal, and other internal stakeholders to ensure commercial consistency and effective project delivery Lead the approval process for new contracts or amendments to existing contracts, up to Board level Represent the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, government departments and other stakeholders Your background Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Law, Engineering or a related field Extensive experience in a commercial, project development or operations role within the power sector Excellent commercial negotiation skills and a track record of delivering improved financial or operational outcomes Great analytical thinking and ability to interpret technical and financial data Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams Working at APA At APA we’re committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace where you can achieve your best.
