Your role at St John of God Burwood We are seeking applications for a Pharmacist (Grade2) to join our Pharmacy team at Burwood on a casual basis. In the role you will provide pharmaceutical care to the patients of St John of God Health Services including but not limited to storage, selecting, dispensing, administration and monitoring of medications, medication chart review and provision of drug information. The Position Review and monitor patient medication therapy and orders written by appropriate caregivers for safety and efficacy considering specific patient conditions and health status. Prepare, label and dispense medications for patients in accordance with physicians’ prescriptions Ensure compliance with Federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to the dispensing of drugs and narcotics and the maintenance of required records Maintain appropriate records of dispensing and maintain the systems that charge or credit for medications and medication treatments Provide drug information to care givers and patients regarding medications and their proper use and monitoring Ensure appropriate medications are available for patients and are properly procured, prepared, stored and maintained Successful applicants will be qualified and registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA), and demonstrate recent experience as a Pharmacist. You will have the necessary knowledge to provide comprehensive pharmacy services to both patients and healthcare professionals in a hospital setting. You will demonstrate experience with pharmacy computer systems and have excellent clinical knowlegde.
