About the role We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Team Leader to guide our amazing Youth Accommodation Service team in Kalgoorlie. This role is all about leading a group of passionate youth workers who support 15–24-year-olds experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. You’ll make sure the service runs smoothly, that our young people get the right kind of support when they need it most, and that your team feels supported, too. This is a full-time, permanent role reporting to the Program Manager, Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, level 6 What you’ll be doing Making sure our service processes and tools are in place so young people get the best support possible Organising rosters and keeping things running smoothly for the team Offering your expertise to help youth workers navigate tricky case situations Leading from the front to ensure quality service and positive outcomes for every young person we work with Joining in regular case reviews so each young person’s plan is current and effective Making sure safety and risk plans are up-to-date and followed Keeping an eye on how the service is tracking and working with the Program Manager to find solutions if challenges pop up What you will bring Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field Demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous work roles, service and study/development Experience in leading and supervising staff WA Working with Children Check Drivers licence A national police record check is required (completed by TSA during recruitment) First aid certificate (current or able to get within three months) What we offer The Salvos offer eligible employee's a well-balanced package of meaningful benefits including: Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.
