About the role We have a permanent opportunity for a Lead Document Control joining our Project Management (Construction Assurance) team in Leederville. You’ll manage a small team of document controllers, supporting our project managers and contract managers in providing Records Management (RM), Document Management (DM) and document control support across multiple complex projects throughout WA. This includes an 12% standard employer contribution, plus an additional 2% employer co-contribution that matches your own 2% contribution Purchase additional leave of up to 12 weeks or work 4 years at a reduced salary and take the fifth year off as paid leave Discover more benefits we offer to support the unique and individual ways our employees live What the role will involve Lead and mentor a team of Document Controllers across major Water Corporation projects, ensuring consistent application of document control practices in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements Provide subject matter expertise to support the development and continuous improvement of project document management processes, procedures, and standards Work closely with project, contract management teams and stakeholders to facilitate the timely submission, review, and approval of project documentation Lead future introduction of new Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) Conduct regular audits and quality checks on document control data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Generate reports to support performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives Keep up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in records and document management (RM/DM), and lead initiatives to embed innovation and efficiency across document control functions About you We are seeking an experienced document controller with tertiary qualifications in records management, and strong background in RM/DM environments within large organisations. Our ideal candidate will have proven experience working with electronic records and document management systems, along with demonstrated leadership managing and guiding teams. A solid understanding of information, records, and document management principles, practices, and standards is essential. Experience in engineering design and/or construction practices will be highly regarded, as this team will support complex project documentation for infrastructure projects across WA.
