Who are we looking for? We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Store Supervisor to join our team in Cairns, Queensland . Your role In this role, your key responsibilities will include: Lead and coordinate daily store operations to support overall hangar and operational requirements. Ensure accurate control, processing, and documentation of parts and materials in line with aviation authority regulations and company procedures. Manage the dispatch of items to meet freight deadlines. Oversee timely receipt and processing of incoming stock and materials. Allocate incoming items appropriately to stock or against material requisitions. Ensure ordering, storage, and distribution of materials is conducted in accordance with company policies. Track and manage stock across hangar stores and free issue supply. Coordinate the timely return of core exchange units to suppliers to avoid penalty fees. Oversee the receipt, storage, issuance, and management of customer-owned materials. Manage sub-contract repair orders to ensure minimal turnaround times. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all parts and materials stored or distributed from the Cairns Base. Actively contribute to and promote the WH&S, Environmental, and Aviation Safety Management Systems. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional Stores environment. Provide proactive support to hangar operations and meet customer material requirements. Ensure proper handling and segregation of quarantine items per company procedures. The essential requirements Experience working as a supervisor in a warehouse or stores environment, ideally in aviation or a regulated industry. Confident leading a small team, assigning tasks, and meeting daily goals. Good understanding of stock control, inventory, and handling materials. Knowledge of aviation stores operations and rules for managing aircraft parts (CASA, EASA, or similar) is a bonus. Comfortable using inventory systems and common computer programs like Microsoft Office. Clear and confident communicator, both in writing and speaking. Able to solve problems quickly and take initiative when issues come up. Can work independently, manage time well, and meet deadlines. Understanding of how to handle and ship dangerous goods (having a DG certificate is a plus). Forklift licence or willing to get one (preferred). Strong awareness of safety and following procedures. Reliable, hands-on, and detail-focused, with pride in doing the job well. Valid work visa Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain); and Current Australian licences to operate vehicles/machines.
