About the Role: As an Aged Care Social Worker, you will provide emotional, social, and practical support to residents and their families. You will advocate for the needs of older people, assist with transitions into care, support mental health and wellbeing, and collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals. ✅ Candidate Requirements To be successful in this role you will need: Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of team members and external stakeholders. To be highly motivated and able to take initiative. Intermediate computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet) To be highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks Solution focussed – excellent problem-solving skills, including critical thinking ✅ Experience (desirable) Minimum 3 years experience as a Social Worker (required) Experience in caring for residents with a diagnosis of Dementia (desirable) Experience in supporting a resident and their family through palliation (desirable) Clinical experience as a social worker within the aged care sector (desirable) ✅ Qualifications Minimum Bachelor of Social Work/ Counselling and eligibility to register with relevant professional association.
