Your role at St John of God Midland Public & Private Hospitals You will be a passionate and experienced ICU Registrar who will provide high quality clinical service to patients under the guidance of consultant staff. Our ICU includes the following, Site is CICM C6 unit approved for up to 6 months General training Participation in TPN round under supervision ICU consultant Daily management of ICU/HDU patients Review of ward, ED consultations ICU outreach service General ICU procedures: Mechanical ventilation: invasive, non-invasive Intubations Central venous access Arterial catheter placement Chest drain placement ECG, radiologic, US interpretation Interhospital and intrahospital transport Renal Replacement Therapy Medical Emergency Team Leader (assist with paediatric, neonatology, obstetric emergencies) Weekly education sessions, ALS/MET Sim, Radiology session, Journal Club, Morbidity and Mortality, Primary question sessions Participation in hospital-wide standards committees and Unit audit/research Multiple education opportunities: Neonatal resuscitation, Obstetric emergencies, General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ALS, BLS, Simulation 6 bed ICU/6 bed HDU: Capability of 6 ventilation beds CVVHDF Echo-fellowship level consultant We can offer a 6 or 12-month fixed term contracts, working full time either from February or August 2026 You will be eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA), with 6 months recent experience in ICU or Anaesthetics. You will have clinical and procedural experience commensurate with clinical responsibilities of Registrar, with highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication. Having qualifications in BLS/ALS 1 and 2, Basic course and PLS will be highly regarded. Above all, people will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.
