SASH Gold Coast is the first specialist and 24/7 emergency hospital of its type on the Gold Coast, a brand-new, purpose-built facility conveniently located in Robina. We’re providing multidisciplinary veterinary hospital services including 5 days a week Internal Medicine specialist care to pets and residents of the Gold Coast, NSW North Coast, and surrounds. We’re now seeking an Internal Medicine Hospital Attendant to join us in a permanent capacity, assisting our team of highly skilled professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional service and the best quality of care to our patients. Internal Medicine specialises in diagnosing complex diseases, particularly those that are challenging to identify and those for which advanced testing may be required, we also perform endoscopy and interventional procedures. SASH is fortunate to have a diverse team of Specialist Veterinarians and Nurses with a combined total of over a century of clinical expertise across our hospitals! Our Hospital Attendants ensure that the standard of animal care and presentation of hospital facilities are maintained at the highest possible level. This is a full time position, Monday – Friday within business hours , however we will consider other shift patterns for the right applicant. What your day-to-day will look like: Canine and feline animal handling; restraining, feeding, walking and offering water to patients Cage & hospital cleanliness including daily laundry Restocking the medicine procedure area and imaging suites Restocking chemotherapy consumables Learning and executing cytotoxic safety precautions for patients undergoing chemotherapy Assisting with ultrasonography and patient transportation around the hospital Ability to prioritise in a fast paced, ever-changing environment Excellent communication skills and a sense of humour Ability to work alone and as part of a team This role is perfect for an experienced hospital attendant who is keen to grow within an organisation that values your development and enjoys meaningful work to support animals in our care.
