The Role As Senior Fire Services Designer , the successful candidate will lead fire protection design for complex projects, providing technical expertise and coordinating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone with strong contracting experience who thrives in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the design of wet and dry fire systems using AutoCAD and/or Revit Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, NCC, and project-specific requirements Optimise design for constructability and project cost efficiency Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, consultants, and clients Oversee documentation including shop drawings, fabrication lists, and as-builts Conduct site inspections to validate design and coordinate with construction activities Mentor junior designers and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes Ideal Candidate 5 years of fire services design experience within a contractor environment Strong technical knowledge of Australian fire codes and regulations Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit Excellent coordination and communication skills Demonstrated experience across a range of project types including infrastructure, commercial, and complex builds Relevant qualifications (Diploma of Fire Systems Design or Engineering/Architecture degree preferred) Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team Full working rights in Australia What's on Offer Work with a long-standing contractor with a strong industry presence Exposure to diverse and technically challenging projects Supportive, down-to-earth team culture Flexible hybrid working arrangements Competitive salary and opportunities for growth
