Description We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager. Join our Health and Education team at Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) and play a key role in the effective management of Minor Works (capital works projects) delivery including planning, costing, co-ordination, completion and documentation in accordance with the contractual timelines. This role is also responsible for managing the delivery of facility services for RCH properties. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services. The Facilities Services for the precinct operates 24 hours per day, 365(6) days per year and as such there will be requirements to work outside of normal business hours to deliver projects or tasks in a busy operating hospital environment, including the requirement to participate in the ‘On Call’ duty roster. What You’ll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: Ensure assigned projects and project key deliverables (including costing, coordination, completion, documentation and reporting) are managed in accordance with the contractual requirements, ensuring adherence to operational procedures and best practice. Manage and support Staff and subcontractors to achieve optimal performance in accordance with Service Specifications, provided with a safe work environment and given the opportunity to contribute to improvements in practice. Plan and schedule project work to meet required timelines. Ensure risks are accurately identified, contained and countermeasures are put in place. Manage and capture information associated with additions / alterations to the Facility in the facility Asset Register, Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and other documentation databases as applicable. What You’ll Bring Tertiary qualification in Project Management and / or technical expertise in a Facility Management / Building Maintenance, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or similar is desirable. Good understanding of processes associated with project management and control including estimating, programming and planning. Facility Management / maintenance or operations in a large facility or a hospital environment. Delivery of service-based contracts including life cycle costing and long-term maintenance and lifecycle planning. Developing, monitoring and evaluating the performance of subcontractors.
